The neurologist said to expect it, but that doesn't make it any easier. Gabriel's tics, related to his Tourette's Syndrome, have gotten a little worse. In addition to the other things, which actually have improved on his Risperdal, he now has to repeat the "S" sound at the end of a word at least five times, and he has to walk around in a circle before entering a room or the car. I have been trying not to make a big deal, but yesterday Sydney was yelling at him - which technically IS her job...she is his little sister - and I got so mad! I had to sit her down and talk to her and try to explain why she needs to give him a break sometimes. Then I just cried. I just wish I could fix it for him or that it was me and not him.
We are taking the kids camping in Traverse City next week. I am hoping that the change of scenery will settle things down.

*sigh*
Hang in there, girl. Your patience and caring are and will make a difference, even though some days you don't see it.
